Postgraduate Course: Updates in Endocrine Ultrasound and Elastography

Under the expert coordination of Prof. Dana Stoian and Prof. Mihaela Vlad, this postgraduate course brings together a multidisciplinary team of educators to offer a state-of-the-art educational experience in ultrasound and elastography for endocrinologists.

Structured across three intensive days, the course combines theoretical excellence with highly practical, hands-on sessions. The academic component—hosted at the Central Library of Politehnica University Timișoara—explores key topics in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and breast ultrasound, as well as multiparametric approaches, TIRADS systems, CEUS applications, and pitfalls in elastography.

Complemented by a strong imaging foundation, participants will also gain insights into gynecologic, cervical, and suprarenal ultrasonography, emphasizing real-life case discussions and image-based learning, including a closing interactive quiz and practical test.

The hands-on sessions, hosted at the Endocrinology Department of “Pius Brînzeu” County Clinical Emergency Hospital and Dr. D Medical Center, are mentored by an experienced faculty team, offering supervised scanning and real-case simulations to solidify diagnostic and procedural skills.

With 15 CMR-accredited credits, this course provides a unique opportunity for clinicians to refine their ultrasonographic expertise in endocrine pathology, with direct applicability to daily clinical practice.
