On behalf of European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB), World Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB), we are delighted to welcome you, to the Ultrasound Learning Center Timisoara, Romania.

Our team is composed of expert ultrasonographists (level III – expert according to the EFSUMB classification) and our areas of expertise include abdominal ultrasonography; contrast enhanced ultrasonography, interventional ultrasonography and elastography.

Training will take place in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” Timișoara over a period of 1 to 4 weeks. During this time you will learn and practice your skills using different ultrasound machines. The official language of the course will be English. The department is part of the Emergency County Hospital Timișoara, 10 Iosif Bulbuca str., 300736 Timișoara, Romania.

In order to apply for training in our center you must send your CV, a letter of intent (in which you should also specify the desired period for the training), proof of your medical degree and proof that you are an English speaker, as it is specify in the EFSUMB Bylaw 12. All applicants must have a background knowledge and experience in the practice of ultrasound. Please send the full application on the center email address: ulctimisoara@gmail.com.

The course is free of charge. At the end of the course you will be awarded with an EFSUMB certificate, signed by the Directors (Director – Prof. Dr. I. Sporea and Co-director – Dr. Alina Popescu), proof that you have achieved a particular standard in ultrasound learning (this will not be considered in any circumstances as a certificate of training). A fee of 50 euro will be paid directly to Ultrasound Learning Center Timisoara for such certificate.
